AGILE Leadership

The wicked leader is he whom the people despise. The good leader is he whom the people revere. The great leader is he of whom the people say, We did it ourselves.
— Lao Tzu, about 2,500 year ago

The influence of charismatic heroes landmarks history. In our time, we need people who are authentic and understand leadership as enabling others to successfully get their job done. But there is more to it.

Agile Leaders have a deeper understanding of complexity and create a shared view of that in the team. They further promote learning and reflection for constant improvements from within the team. And they create and hold a shared vision to work towards.

Agile Leadership can be both applicable for leaders managing a team (in traditionally led organisations), as well as functional leaders in self-organised, agile teams.

Content:

  • You explore your own mental models as well as new perspectives regarding complexity;

  • You reflect your lived values and the values of your organisations, to open up possibilities – towards agile/teal values;

  • You develop powerful visions and embody those through exercises;

  • You extend your leadership capacity and test newly learnt ideas with colleagues;

  • You develop next steps for your specific leadership role.
